Day Seven: If you were stranded on an Island, who would be with you and which limited 10 items would you two have?
Well on this unfortunate occasion, I would probably be with my mom. Let’s be real, mom’s know best, and I feel like my mom would absolutely know how to handle life deserted on an island. She would also probably be the better person to ask this question because she would be more realistic about what to bring. But I’ll give you my ten ideas anyway (in no particular order):
Day Five: Someone you would switch lives with for a day and why
I think I would have to go with Ellen Degeneres on this one. First of all, I think it would be so cool to be a talk show host. Also, she’s only like one of the coolest people ever. She stands up for what she believes, she’s constantly helping improve the lives of others, and she has fun in the process. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think that sounds pretty fun. She is definitely one of my role models and it would be awesome to be her for a day. She’s such an amazing woman and an inspiration in today’s society, where it is slowly becoming acceptable to express yourself as you come. My friends tell me I remind them of her because we share similar senses of humor. I could be the next Ellen Degeneres, but straight. Love her!
Day Four: what was the last movie you watched? Write about it.
The last movie I saw in theaters was The Green Lantern. Other than the fact that Ryan Reynolds was either shirtless or in a spandex suit about 80% of the time, it wasn’t the greatest movie I’ve ever seen. To me it was kind of like your typical super hero movie. Some civilian realizes he has super powers, he freaks out, learns how to use them, saves the world, and wins over the girl in the process. It’s slightly repetitive. But again, it is Ryan Reynolds. Shirtless. Yeah, enough said.
I also saw Eat, Pray, Love the other day with my friend. To be honest, it was really long. It was good and everything, but I feel like some parts could have been cut out to make it a little shorter. On a side note, when the character travels to “Eat”, it really really really makes me want to go to Italy and eat my weight in pasta. Oh sweet baby jesus heaven almighty the food looked so good. If you’re at all interested in Eat, Pray, Love, I would personally recommend just watching the Eat part. Then go find a REALLY good Italian restaurant.
It’s funny how selfish some people are these days. WAKE UP PEOPLE the world doesn’t always revolve around you. Take a step back from your selfish pool and look at what you’re doing with your life. Check yourselves before you check others. You might just be hurting the one’s you love. #justathought
Day Two: Post your favorite song and why you like it.
You Get What You Give by the New Radicals. Definitely one of my all time favorite songs. Granted, I do have a lot of favorites, but this one is pretty high up there. My family listens to it practically all the time and I just got addicted. Gotta love the message behind it too :)
Well, here’s the thing. If I had to pick one best friend, I could, but they all deserve a little shout out.
First, there’s the sisterhood. These girls are my rock. They mean everything to me. The sisterhood is made up of me, Ally, Kate, and Lauren. And yes, we did get the idea from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. We were all best friends in high school then graduated and we all went to different colleges, in different states and countries. Kate ran away to Canada, Lauren to Indiana, and me to California. Because of this separation, we got a scarf that travels between all of us when we’re not together. We are the sisterhood of the traveling scarf. :)
Second, there’s my boys. Cole and Seth. They are lifeguards at the pool by my house where I have been going for years. I used to spend all day everyday at this pool during the summer (mostly before I could drive). I got to know these guys because I was down there so much and they basically adopted me as their little sister lifeguard. They definitely have lived up to the title “lifeguards”. I honestly don’t know what I would do without them, they’re the big brothers I always wanted.
And finally, there’s my core group of friends at college. Loyola Marymount University isn’t a very big school, so it’s easy to make friends, and I’m so lucky that I ended up with these kids. Katie, Eric, and Jennifer are ridiculous and amazing and I owe them so much. They made my freshman year so much easier. All three of them have an amazing sense of humor, but Katie stands out of the bunch. I mean, she is a comedian after all. I would literally die without her. 2011 Roommates! Eric is probably one of the most attractive guys in my class at LMU and he knows it. Mostly because we give him crap constantly about how to not use his looks to be a jerk. But I love him. And Jennifer is just precious. She’s the blonde half mexican twin whom I could not live without.
Probably a longer answer than the question was looking for, but I don’t care. I could talk about these people forever.
